Is Ivanova even in it at all? I forgot.

She has one scene. It is supposed to be 10 years prior to the events of Season 1 when Ivanova would have been around 19 years old and in college. Remember that her brother died in the war and she joined Earth Force to finish what he started. According to JMS they originally thought of casting a younger woman for that scene (as Christian herself was 33 and in no way looked 19) but they decided that it was better to stick with the actor the we already knew.

shareI don't know about all of that. She was obviously very close to her big brother but I didn't see it as sexual like a boyfriend or at all creepy. It makes sense that they would be so close. Their mother suffered from depression from taking the 'sleepers' and than eventually committed suicide. Their father was distant and aloof; all they probably had growing up was each other.
shareThat scene answered a question for us. My husband & I have just finished watching all 5 seasons on DVD. (We had watched it during it's first run, but it has been a while).
Somewhere in Season 3, my husband asked "Why does Susan only wear one earring?" I had noticed, but put it down to personal style.
Now we know better. She gave the other earring to Ganya and told him she would only wear one until he brought it back. Of course he didn't come back.
