Candyman?

Did anybody else see a comparison between In Dreams & Candyman?

Yeah,Both lead females are trying to stop a man from killing a child(only Candyman's a demon).

I thought the ending was very Clive Barker'ish.

All the best people have bad chest and bone diseases. It's all frightfully romantic!

I felt a connection, but more about how the movies made me feel. Like getting sucked into this paranoid and paniced state, being pursued/messed with and having an uncontrollable desire/need to pursue the aggressor back, as the agressor has killed people close to the main character to illicit such a need or desire despite any fear and ultimately meeting a harsh and tragic end to try and stop said agressor.

Both movies do a good job of portraying how these agressors have manipulated and turned these lady's lives upside down and in some way or another, drove them a bit nuts (or at least made everyone think they were nuts) and portrayed that sense of hopelessness they feel after they have lost everything, and then that switch that goes off in their brains that enables them to pursue and confront their agressors.

Very similar plots and feel, but different stories that have the same effect overall... that's how I felt about them.

Just to add another lat comment to this thread: the score is very similar in some areas of the two movies. Overall, though, I preferred Candyman over this movie.
