I can't believe how misunderstood this movies is by many
vivien was abused by his mother and left to drown
was taken to the hospital where he was for many years
he was so desperate to escape he dressed as a nurse
him because of her daughter no one beleived her so they put her in the same hospital vivien was taking the kids he wanted a family but would kill them if it didn't go his way Claire went there to help the kids and drown not before he made her wear the bad mommy dress ie one like his mom would wear after his trial and he thought he would live Claire who was dead came back and haunted him

Pretty sure he escaped by constructing a suit of powered armor; he later went mad when he discovered his friend's old buddy had murdered his parents, so he tried to kill his friend's old buddy (who had been brainwashed to murder people, BTW); when his friend tried to defend his old buddy, all hell broke loose and he basically got his ass kicked.

Sure. But Vivian then could sneak into his old buddy's hiding place disguised as a Chinese lead farmer and kick his genetically enjanced ass. And the village under water is beyond the Reichenbach falls, and it was Professor Moriarty that drowned him.  *slaps jpowell's back head*
