why part hide his face?

okay, I dunno if this will ever be answered, I dont know much about Martin Cahill but, with Gardai why always have the hand up by the face, covering half of it? what is the meaning of all that? yet all other times, including in court, he was happy to reveal all?

Cahill used to do this to hide his face from the media. He always claimed he was a poor man on the dole

Cos they cant take photos of you in court.
Yet the press photographers can on the street.
He didnt want his face to be known.
