Paul Williams Book

I wasnt much of a fan of the movie but the book by Paul Williams was little better.Williams seemed to be on some foreign planet when he wrote it.It was the typical'Cahill was a kind auld soul' rubbish.Added to that Williams took every chance to hand victory to Cahill over the Gardai. It is complete rubbish and seemed more like reading something by a teenager fawning over the popular kid than a crime journalist writing about a selfabsorbed and nasty man.

Granted its a crap piece of work by a journalist, but you have to remember the society Cahill grew up in mainly resulted in crime being his profession. To him it was a honest robin hood type career. Thats not to say i see him that way, but theres good in everyone, nobody is pure evil! Everything he done was for the gain of his family.

Kelso:Ted, have you noticed how happy all the minions are lately?
Ted: I wish I was dead.

Id agree.Terrible book.I couldnt believe how pro-cahill he is.You swear by the way he goes on that Cahill destroyed the morale of the Gardai. He actually does come out with this statement when describing events from 1987.Is this guy for real ?? Stuff like that really made my blood boil.

Paul Williams wrote for 'The Irish Sun' tabloid newspaper. As far as I'm concerned that alone confirms a total lack of journalistic integrity, and the same goes for any red-top tabloid journalist in this country.

I'm not saying I don't trust you, and I'm not saying that I do, but I don't.
