Who the hell is the guy that shoots martin in the end? Anyone have a clue????

His name is David Wilmot.He played Ed in 'The Clinic'.

Martin Cahill was shot dead by an IRA gunman...simply because he wasn't frightened by them and he was gatting too powerfull!!! Also because he wouldn't give them a percentage of the o'conors job....the assasin is an IRA hitman!!!

Cahill wasn't afraid of them, but should have been, he got shot with a 357. Magnum at close range by an IRA assassin on the rumour that he was trafficing heroine and dealing with loyalists.

I doubt a nationwide paramilitary organisation would fear a street gang leader getting "too powerful" for them... seeing as they were busy fighting the British Army
