This is an Absolutely Marvelous Film

I never tire of this movie. The beautiful scenary. The perfect sister-girl dialogue. The familial relationships between the characters. This movie is like sitting on the beach on a warm summer day, eating a box of godiva chocolates and sipping from a glass of champagne; it's great. "How Stella Got Her Groove Back" is funny, sad, witty, touching and wonderfully romantic. Angela Bassett has never appeared more beautiful. Whoopi Goldberg has never been more earthy, soulful and real. This is soul cinema at its best.
