What was the song that was playing while Stella and Winston made love (towards the end). It souded like Michelle N'degocello. Anyone know the name????

reply

I don't know if you'll ever see this, but the name of that song is Let me have you and it is by Meshell Ndegeocello. I love that song, it's beautiful.

I can't promise you love....I can't promise you me

You seem to know the song in the movie when they were in bed. Do you know the song that Oleta Adams sang when whoopie died?

reply

No idea, but it was a score threaded throughout the dramatic parts of the movie. "Love Never Forgets" would be my guess. Beautiful song. I think the whole soundtrack is excellent though.

I hope you know this one. What is the name of the song at the end when they are in the airport, sounds like oletta adams but i have not been able to find it. i love that song. she is not mentioned on the sound track at all.

I have a different song question, What is the name of the song that's playing when Delilah is in the hospital and Stella is visiting. This song comes on in the background and they start talking about it.

I believe it's Diana King from her album "Tougher Than Love". If it is the song that also plays in the trailer..."Ain't Nobody" but in Reggae.

What about the song that was playing at the family BBQ/Cookout??? When Stella & Winston returned home from Jamaica.....they got out of the limo, and joined the family in the back yard for a cookout....there was this funky/dance/r&B song playing...sounds like from the 70's/early 80's....and they were dancing having fun...while people speculated about their relationship...then Winston sat and talked to Stella's ex...they showed kids dancing....it's such a cool song---but apparently not on the soundtrack. Any ideas of Artist/Song title??? Help?!

"Flashlight" by George Clinton

Or, more properly, by Parliament Funkadelic, off of the album Funkentelechy.

Did people actually play something like that at a barbecue? I thought it was a bit more obscure, not really pop radio.
