Since when is deception in love amusing? Just imagine how she must feel.. that is hardly hilarious.

But what is hilarious is your handle... That is just too precious! It's great!

Well, she felt good enough to get her groove back, assuming it was even hers to begin with. And she wrote a best-selling book and made this movie based on the experience. Does it really matter that it was just a fraud? Once you get your groove back, do you lose it again? And if you like a band like Milli Vanilli, does it really matter who's singing?

reply

That always bothered me that people hated Milli Vanilli just because it wasn''t Milli or Vanilli. I was only like 10 when that happened at it was then that I realized that popular music was all about image

They should have just given the award to the people who really sang in Milli Vanilli instead of to Rob and Fab. Problem solved.

I was 16 when this movie came out and saw a picture of the two of them in Jet magazine. He had hazel contacts and finger waves- if it was that obvious to a group of teenagers then how the hell did it take her so long to find out?

On one hand. Its not something i would want anyone to go through. On the other hand. It makes this movie seem less than all that happy.

I guess the lesson to be learned is we shouldn't depend on others to get our groove back, that groove is an internal thing. As Deee-Lite said, groove is in the heart.

Maybe it's best just to get a dog, which will love us unconditionally regardless of their sexual orientation (or ours).

Heartache aside, there may be some good takeways from their relationship. She got her groove back, a best selling novel and a movie deal. He got away from whatever was holding him back and US citizenship. So it didn’t work out out in the long run. Not an uncommon tale, but they both got more out of their relationship than many other failed couples do.
