Best plot of the three

Number 3 had the most plot and was the funniest (the dance sequence was comical as well as Ambrose Bierce's quips).

Number 1 was the most visually impressive and featured the best acting.

Number 2 was bad all around (except for Maria Checa)

FDTD3:THD had virtually the same plot at the original!!.. 2 escaped bank robbers and hostages/1 bandito and titular character escape to the Titty Twister/cantina. First half of the film is all bad guys on the run..then suddenly..BANG! It's Vampire central..everyone is locked in while the vamps all feed. The band continues to play throughout the slaughter. A small group manage to hide until they are forced to fight back...sunlight eventually does for the vamps and two of the protagonists survive. They even had the same parting shot of the view of the rear of the cantina and the Aztec temple it is part of...just in case we didn't realise it was the same place from the first one!

Overall the film was pretty poor, I thought...almost the same story retold badly..although I must confess the Ambrose Bierce element was a very good idea.

I prefer this one to all of them. Once I saw it i was hooked. The original still holds up especially the delicious, Selma Hayek but this one is very charmed for me. I love the story.

The second one was just a bad idea. Terrible but I still watch it sometimes. The intro was very good.

I don't see why would anyone prefer this missed abortion of a movie to the second sequel. At least that was entertaing; this one was God-awful.

Boycott movies that involve real animal violence! (and their directors too)

I think you mean first sequel, this one is the second sequel.

Re-watching this on netflix now for the first time since it came out, it's decent.
Definitely better than the previous sequel.
