It had cheap production values and had that made for TV movie feel.

Yeah, definitely felt more like a Dawson’s Creek Halloween Special. I also feel like the POV shots seem unrealistic compared to previous films. They have more or swooping feel than natural movement. Also the music in this film seems too cheesy and not like Halloween. It seems like the movie too is made for 14 year old kids who haven’t seen the previous Halloween movies and only saw this one in theaters because their 40-something-year-old dads were nostalgic for the original.

Well it was made around the time of Scream and I know what you did last Summer time period. It was popular to use young people from hit TVs shows and put them in a slasher horror flick. I like H20 as a stand-alone Halloween movie as it doesn’t go well with the rest of the Halloween movies.
