I saw this movie when I was 11, and I still love it, and never understood why it only has a 6.9.

So vote! anyhow a) some people don't get it and b) some others consider it a fun thing to deliberately vote against stuff no matter what it is, kind of mentality like hacking or designing computer viruses

shareExactly what I was thinking.....this movie is absolutely fantastic. I discovered it by accident when channel surfing a couple years ago and just had to order a copy for myself. I had to get it used on amazon though because apparently this movie has gone out of production, which I think is pretty much a tragedy.
shareI actually LOVE this movie and I never get tired of watching it! It shouldn't have such a low rating, but a lot of movies I LOVE have low ratings, it doesn't mean a thing to me, because I still love the movie and never get tired of watching my favorite movies. It actually shows what true friendship between girlfriends that should be on screens today for movies. They may of had fights, but in the end they stuck together and really did something they cared about to fight for. Their school.

Most movies on imdb get a lower user rating than they deserve. Star Wars only got an 8.8, and Lord of the Rings 8.7. So on imdb, you'd do yourself well to consider getting upper 8's practically the best score you can get.
And I just saw this movie last night, it was entertaining but it wasn't that great. Its score is fine for imdb standards.

shareConsidering that it's supposed to be set in the Sixties, it couldn't get more things WRONG! It doesn't even deserve anything above 5. Why place it in a particular time period if you are going to have them act like kids of today? Trust me: This is NOT reflective of that time period. I intend to give it an exceedingly low rating~perhaps even 1 to counterbalance the rest, which I would not have expected since I like many of the cast members. This is no more the Sixies than that horror film "The Woods". Playing period music does not make it a period film.

I agree with an earlier poster; I don't think most people get this movie. Also, I don't think it appeals to men:) lol.
This is one of my favorite movies(I am watching it right now lol). I rated it a 10!
Perhaps because of all the sexual innuendo the movie had... that's the same thing you find in every single teen movie... so it didn't bring something fresh or original. I wouldn't recommend it to an 11 years old kid, anyway.
