Zilla's design

I really liked the vaguely theopod design of the 1998 Zilla. Maybe even better then the old traditional Godzilla. But I have to admit, that the CGI was awful (it was made it the 90s, who could blame them). I wish that Zilla could be used in the Legendary series (not as godzilla himself, but as a secondary Kaiju like the MUTOs). What do you guys think of Zilla's design?

Have to disagree. I thought he looked like a really big raptor. It was awful

I liked it.

I understand its not a typical Godzilla film but when are american adaptaions or even book adaptations so close to the source? It might be Godzilla like but its beautiful. The real GOdzilla is some ugly prehistoric lard ass. This Godzilla is sleek, smooth, and beautiful and the reason for its look its because they tried to make it realistic and credible. The old Godzilla is just some sort of fat dinosaur this Godzilla looks like how a real Godzilla would like if it were born today which is the premise of the film. It was fresh and modern. If it had been the original Godzilla it wouldve looked dated and probably not many people wouldve gone to see it and nor wouldve been a huge box office film like it was.

It did make a change to the old tradition of a guy stomping along in a rubber suit in monster films. Advancements have been made in CGI since this was made, but I found the CGI in this acceptable.
