I can see how it could bore some people. If the subjects of James Whale, filmmaking, or homosexuality in the 30s-50s does not interest you then you probably won't love this film like others do.
shareHomosexuality in the 30's through 50's did not interest me in the least, this film to me was about a lonely sick man, who made some super movies in his day...The Homosexuality was the hardest part of the movie to watch...
OK, he was a bugger, we got that point, they didn't need to stay on that point when you had a great opportunity to show how he made such great films...
Sad in this pro-homosexual era that every film that concerns a man or woman who happened to be of that sexual orientation is over done to suit the homosexual masses. This man, James Whale was a great talent, his films speak for themselves, watching a movie that overdid his sex life was pure overkill. I would have been happy if they explained his orientation and instead focus more on his sad suicidal life and great films. Less pricks more kicks.
