Is there any solid evidence of her accident?

This movie was a genuis masterpiece and pure art.
Selma Hayek as Frida Kahlo and Alfred Molina as Diego Rivera are wonderful.

Yet, there are some inaccuracies.
Her polio (infantile paralysis) wasn't mentioned at all.
Reading about her life was asking myself if there is any evidence that the bus accident really happened.
Her painful body problems could have been caused by polio, even the problems in her later life (post-polio syndrome).

She "changed" other details of her life herself:
Her father was not Hungarian and he was almost surely not a Jew.
She was born 1907 (not 1910).
Perhaps she prefered to have had an accident...rather than being sick by this backstabbing infection.

And since it was anyhow fancy with her bohemian fellows to create legends around their lifes....why not creating an accident?

Hey, a Frida Kahlo expert!
Thank you very much for your answer!

Yes, I love her paintings also.
At first had some problems with them.
Appeared too childish to me...but if you dive in...a kind of universe opens.

Well, what you said is correct (about her accident).
But still doesn't convince me.
True, everybody says that.
Everybody said also that little children need to eat spinach.
Was stuffed with spinach and as a youngster really hated it.
Was a typo...generations of babies were stuffed with spinach cause it was said to have so lovely much iron in it. Cause of that typo all believed that spinach has 10 times more iron in it than it really has.
Don't get me wrong...spinach is good and meanwhile can eat it without hate.
Well, cause somebody put the comma at the wrong place and many, many copied that mistake spinach became a food legend here.

So, here we go.
Cause everybody says Frida Kahlo had an accident doesn't mean she really had.
All her pain and body problems could be explained by this bad infection.

That her father probably was german and not a hungarian jew (like she said) didn't make it better.
And even though I like this movie very much...it's a masterpiece!...disliked how they showed Trotzki.
Trotzki wasn't that innocent old man.
He was responsible for many murders!

However, recently showed one of my nephs how history can change.
Yes, it's an old one but still a good sample.
Nowadays easy made but at that times very good work (to let vanish Trotzki).
Picture #1 shows Lenin and Trotzki while Lenin held a speech.
Picture #2 shows Lenin...Trotzki vanished.

I'm sure accidents were documented at that time, and her medical records would prove her injuries, too []

This was an interesting documentary I saw about her recently that might help you fill the gaps:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TA1RwZgAsl4

I think the accident was real.

Thank you for the nice documentary, Invincible!
Was very interesting...though would neither tattoo Frida on my arm nor one of her great paintings.

Well, in her doc the british (zambian-english) musician Emeli Sandé showed and talked insightful how the art and life of Frida Kahlo had an impact on her life and music. In nice pictures and wonderful colours she catches the atmosphere of Frida's time.
But there's nothing really new.

The medical records I've seen "only" showed the deformities of Frida's bones.
That could have been caused also by a post polio syndrome, means, still no evidence for her accident.

Anyhow...for a better appreciation of Frida this doc is worth watching!

You have a seriously flawed logic process if you liken incorrect factual beliefs based on a single origination instance of a typographical error to numerous people, contemporaneous sources, and physical evidence supporting a medical injury to be a massive, coordinated fraud....

She suffered multiple fractures. Surgical scars. Not explained by infantile polio. Why would you ignore the facts in front of you in favor of a theory that doesn't suport the facts?

To add: Staling/his communist party airbrushing Trotsky out of photos is not "changing history". It was propoganda and it was, and is, used, all the time. It is merely changing the records of history.
And Stalin, using his regime, was the greatest mass murderer in history. Including of Trotsky.

Guess you meant "Stalin" an "support", Miss-Spider-Expert.
Didn't talk about "infantile polio".
You should read about polio in common and the "post-polio syndrome". 

Yeah, you *did* mention infantile polio.
And if citing 2 obvious typos is the best ya got, you continue to prove my point.
You can't cherry-pick facts and ignore what you choose to.
Snarky, pointless tripe.

No, Ms-Grr started with the INFANTILE polio.
Perhaps the wannabe-expert-spider is finished now with meaningless attacks.
INFANTILE...INFANTILE...INFANTILE.

You failed in mind reading and should rather read what's said:

"...solid evidence..."
http://www.dict.cc/?s=solid+evidence
(may help to understand what a solid evidence is)

Leastwise you tried to think intensely and edited your short post a day later.
Try better. 

Had some problems with my internet-connection.
Deleted the second and third transmission (same as the first).

You didn't say "that again".
Or did you say it somewhere sometimes with one of your other accounts? 

The point is, that you don't have anything to bring to the table.
You only like to provoke and pet your ego.

I have no other accounts.

I, unlike you am not trying to bring anything to the table. I was just pointing out that you (petting your OWN ego), despite having no solid evidence, seem to want to argue that there was no accident under the guise of "discussing" it. It's been pretty much accepted by experts more qualified than you that there was an accident so unless you were there, you might just wanna go with it.

Since you claim not to have other accounts, show me where you said "that again".
Cannot be difficult, cause you only have one account, Hor Hor.

Yes, would have liked to discuss it.
Doesn't make sense to discuss it with you, cause you don't have a clue and you even didn't read this thread when you came up with your ego-petting.

But perhaps you can surprise me:
Show your "experts more qualified" who are not only copy and paste what Frida Kahlo said about herself.
As to read in my OP, she changed other details of her life herself.

Do you see where I said "that" the first time (I made it bold so that you can see it) and then I said "that" again? Hor hor yourself.

You are not discussing (dare I risk saying that I already stated this?). You want to argue and yes, I did read the whole thread. What is it exactly that I "don't have a clue about"?. I don't know one way or the other and I'm definitely no expert but if I had to offer an opinion, I'd say that she was in an accident.

Maybe she did change some details. Maybe not but you can't throw the baby out with the bath water. There may be some details that YOU consider to be factual that she actually changed/made up. Ever think about that?

Nice attempt at diversion. You don't comprehend what I wrote and then accuse me (because of YOUR incomprehension) of having more than one account which is not true and I'M the one who is insulting?

For starters, Salma Hayek is a Frida Kahlo "expert". Do you claim to be a bigger authority? But that's not the point. The point is that it's accepted that she was in the accident.

In the movie Frida Kahlo's polio wasn't mentioned at all.
And the murderous communist Trotzki was presented as an innocent old man.
And now you try to sell me Salma Hayek as an "expert". 
