Can we agree on one thing. This was vastly better than the reboot.

The Casting was far better. The tone was far closer to the comics. Frankly think the biggest weak spot was the script. But even that was nowhere as bad as the reboot. I still give this movie a 6 (maybe a 7). Compared to 1 i gave the reboot. 2005 version is still entertaining, even tho there are parts that make no sense. But the whole 2015 reboot make no sense.

I love the casting Chris Evans and Michael Chiklis owned their roles. Ioan Gruffadd is somebody I can take seriously as Reed Richards,Teller was great in Whiplash but as Reed Richards he was a complete miscast. I orginally thought Jessica Alba was the weak link of the 4,but I will take her over Kate Mara's Boring self anyday,I thought Jessica at least had a little chemistry with the others Mara was too b---chy and depressing.

I found Mara to be quite deep and likeable i her role. Alba was way more that word you said then Mara, considering how cold she was to Reed. Mara was actually somewhat polite to Reed despite not initially liking him. There was way more chemistry with her and Teller. Alba and Ioan were completely misdated and very cheesy in the role

Yeah only but she seemed really annoyed most of the time.
In this movie Susan seems more caring towards everybody acting like a Big Sister to Johnny when he is constantly showing off his powers and comforting Ben when him and Johnny go at it.Also in the Sequel everybody is ready to kill the Silver Surfer but she is concerned about him and wants to her his side of the story

I just did not see it,I felt Alba had a little chemistry with Ioan

there are better choices than both of them out there but I will take Alba for now. There are also better choices for Reed than Teller and Ioan Gruffadd, but Gruffadd is totally capable of playing a character like Reed

I respect your opinion about the Reboot but I prefer this movie and this cast

I grew up watching this movie but I have not watched the remake I'm wondering if I should. Would anyone recommend it to me?

NOT AT ALL

Don't do it! I still have night terrors when I think of this film (the reboot).

Absolutely agree. 2005 >2015

2005 F4 was at least enjoyable at moments, the reboot was just cringy to watch even though the cast has plenty of potential.

2005 had Chris Evans which I think was perfect, well they even had a second movie, even though it was awful as well, and they just destroyed silver surfer...

It really bothers me that they can't seem to get F4 right... I hope they try again, with the proper script, (wouldn't mind the same actors even though it's almost impossible( and a proper director because they have some cool storylines that I would love to see on the big screen.

I think that's about right. They got the tone right, but didn't have much of a storyline. Not very compelling.

Two words to describe the reboot: -
1. Shite
2. Shite

Pretty safe to say most people will agree with that. Anyone who says otherwise... pity them haha. The 2005 & 2007 movies were the furthest thing from great, but like others have said, they at least came closer (not close) to capturing the tone and spirit of the real F4 and were decently enjoyable movies compared to Tank’s movie. (Well actually, the sequel was quite bad.) Still, though fun in their own right (Evans & Chiklis were perfectly cast), these weren’t the movies these amazing characters deserved and they don’t hold up. Dr. Doom’s handling? No good,

Now the reboot? Whether it was really studio intervention or the entire thing was just badly executed (or both), the end result was messy, lifeless and super dull (like Zack Snyder’s worse DC movies, lol). And for the record, I’m not somebody who DEMANDS a comic adaption to follow everything by the book per se. If they want to make certain changes or perhaps do something completely different with a page to screen adaptation, then I’m all for it providing the movie delivers and it can benefit from these changes. Sticking to the heart of the source material obvs makes sense, albeit a movie doesn’t have to be a recreation of the pages. Yup.

But it is clear the direction they took with the reboot was all wrong. No, and the so-called PC changes in the casting that the reactionaries naturally bitch about (waa waa, you better keep things the way I want them which is totally not PC!) was anything but problematic for me. Hell, I’d say the adoption angle was kinda interesting and made sense. The real problem with the movie is, they just sucked.
Anyway, these characters deserve so much better and I hope they’re given justice one day (MCU is the word).
