I wish more of the cast had gone on to do more.

Tony Curran, who played the redhead aka the guy Ibn's horse knocks into the mud is the only one I've seen in anything semi-reguarly since. Vladimir Kulich, aka Thor a decade before Chris Hemsworth, I've seen in like 2 or 3 movies since, and Dennis Stohori, Herger, the one who always called Ibn little brother, well, he was just great, God why couldn't someone have cast him in if not American movies, some British stuff, whatever, I don't care.

It's probably just the fact that my only real exposure to them is this film, but none of them feel contemporary. They look like Vikings, Knights and other such types. I can't see the guy who played Buliwyf doing a meet cute in a rom-com with Jennifer Garner, you know?

He went to Bespin Luke Skywalker, but he left Hand Solo

Vladimir Kulich is a semi regular character on the series Vikings, now.
Tony Curan gets fairly regular work in mostly fantasy type films.

Storhoi is the one I'd really like to have seen more of.
He stole this film with his charisma, and I would have hoped to see him parley that into a more solid career.

No boy.
This is no day to be close to land.

They did do more... just not in US films.

I was so pissed they offed Buliwyf in Vikings! >=(

Kulich also voiced Ulfric Stormcloak, one of the most important characters in "The Elder Scrolls: Skyrim"

I agree that they should have been in movie movies/roles. Truly some great acting displayed by these men.

Tony Curran had a small role in Gladiator. Clive Russel (Helfdane the Fat) has been in a lot of stuff, including King Arthur and Sherlock Holmes.

I rewatched this movie just recently, and noticed a blast from the past: Sven Ole Thorsen..... he's in the background just as the party is mounting their horses to leave.

It's my impression that the guy who was the leader of the Northmen, Bovine, was a big star in Russian/Ukrainian films. Sometimes you can find the Russian version of TARAS BULBA on youtube. It's pretty late in his life but he's still the star of the movie.
