Anyone Cheering for the Angels the whole movie?(spoilers)

I watched this great film and at the end was left a little depressed that the angels lost there lives and probably went to hell.
Did the good guys just lose?
what the hell?
god just callously murders bartelby?
and everyone's happy with that outcome at the end?
i totally agreed with bartelby's rant, total bummer ending
anyone seen the flick

god just callously murders bartelby?

Yes. He tried to purposely destroy creation.

Let's be bad guys.

but god could undo it all in a second without the murder
and defiantly needed to be taught lesson

reply

He taught that lesson to bartleby.

reply

who needs to be taught a lesson more than god

The angels trying to destroy existence.

Kind of, they wasn't bad Bartleby just convinced Loki that mass genocide is wrong and they was punished for that for thousands of years. I don't see them going to hell though, Loki died trying to save others isn't self sacrifice an automatic pass to heaven. Bartleby is harder to say he did kill a bunch of people but imo god was wrong to punish them for refusing to commit genocide. I felt sorry for Azrael aswell condemned to hell for not fighting is abit harsh, plenty of people refuse to go to war. The only person who come off bad was god ha.

Well under Religious DOGMA the angels have no free will (Actually if a god created even just humans WE HAVE NO FREE WILL) what they did was forced by god, they had no choice. Then off course god punishes them for doing what it made them do just like the catholism and the bible says happens to humans. I believe smith knows the religion well enuff and this was one of the points.
