I am wondering why the little girl died in the movie. Did she die of an infection? Can a fever really kill you? If so how can it kill? How do you treat a high temp? I know that heat stroke can kill so do fevers kill like heat stroke?

A fever can absolutely kill you. Yes, it's a symptom of something else, like the flu, but it is, in fact, the fever that is dangerous and kills you, not the flu bug itself. If the body overheats the organs will fail.

As Drew Darko notes, there's not much information given about her death, not that I think it's all that important to know the cause of death in this instance. I think it's more relevant that of the 3 deaths we see in the movie, they roughly correspond to the 3 ages of man; child, adult and senior citizen. 🐭
