Just Watched This

I am a huge fan of Herk Harvey's Carnival of Souls. I saw it as a child and it absolutely scared the $#!& out of me. I didn't even realize that there was a remake of the movie made, so when I saw this on Netflix's Watch Instantly options, I decided to give it a shot.

I have to say that I thought it was pretty good. Not as good as the original, but it was worth a watch. It was effectively creepy. I like comedian Larry Miller. In other things I've seen him in (Seinfeld, Law & Order), he does a great job portraying douchebags. Here he takes this talent to an even higher level.

I also enjoyed seeing that Sidney Berger, from the original CoS, had a small role as a cop at the end. I recognized him immediately, even though I haven't watched the original in years.
