Using A Bug's Life for ESL--suggestions?

I like to use movies as an adjunct to my English class in a remote part of rural India. I've shown A Bug's Life but I wouldn't put it high on my list of good movies for ESL. The English is a little too fast, colloquial and verbally clever. The plot needs explanation at many points: for example, my students don't have the cultural idea of a circus, so that is a bit confusing. Many jokes or comments go over their heads, but they enjoy it anyway. If you like, you can bring out how it can be seen as a simplistic allegory of colonialism, or you can just enjoy it as spectacular colorful animation.

I'd like to hear if anyone has any specific suggestions on how to use this movie in an ESL class.
