Rachel Wiesz at her cutest??

I thought she looked really pretty in this movie. She's probably much more proud of her more serious, weighty roles in Constant Gardener, The Fountain, and even The Shape of Things, but, still, seriously, she's pretty hot in The Mummy. Any thoughts, anybody out there?

reply

Agreed. I also thought she was pretty hot in Constantine, but maybe that's cuz her hair was drenched in water.

You're as useless as a cock-flavored lollipop!

reply

Yes cute is definately the word I'd use for her in this, not hot but cute, which I prefer.

reply

She was crazy cute in this movie.

reply

Yeah, I love her in this movie. "What is a place like me doing in a girl like this?" Soooo cute!

reply

This is the movie that made me fall in love with her! Heehee. I think she's the prettiest in this, and most notably to me she looks so different because her eyebrows are very skinny, whereas usually they are thick and arched.

reply

hm, skinny eyebrows are maybe throwback to the ancient egyptians painting them on?

The first time I saw this movie I thought she looked like Karen Valentine. What do you think?

I know that reference is dating myself!

"That's something you'll never hear from me, Capt. Butler, as long as you live"

reply

she is adorable in this movie. i love her when she sees rick all clean shaven and spruced up for the first time and is like "oh, hello". so cute!

yes she does resemble karen valentine, but i think she is prettier.

"What are you looking at, ya hockey puck?"

reply

i thought her role was going for something between julia louis-dreyfus (circa seinfeld) and barbara bel gettis (circa vertigo). wiesz can be stunningly beautiful (behold constant gardener and especially the fountain!!).

reply

She is flat out ugly in all her other movies, what happened?

"I got no rudder. Wind blows northerly, I go north."

reply

different strokes, but i disagree.

reply

She's mind explodingly hot in this film. Especially in the librarian glasses :)

Eat this baguette! EAT IT!

reply

by disagree i mean that she looks great in other films as well...

reply

Youre right, she's an instant fantasy girl after I saw this movie.

"hm, skinny eyebrows are maybe throwback to the ancient egyptians painting them on?"

I always figured it was because that was the fashion in the 20's. Very Mary Pickford, or those other silent movie actresses. Same goes for her hair.

reply

I don't care if that WAS the fashion 90 years ago - her eyebrows are INCREDIBLY AWFUL - and they are SO BAD that it REALLY distracts me while I'm watching the movie.

The wicked witch is dead.

reply

ok. Well clearly others were not distracted by it like you. And it is a fact that it was the fashion in the 20s, protesting won't make it less so.

reply

No skinny downward sloped eyebrows like Weisz had in this is a throwback to the 1920s which is meant to emphasize and make the eyes look innocent and doe-like. The 1930s also had thin eyebrows but it was slanted upward giving a more sophisticated sterner look compared to the 1920s.

reply

agree! she's very cute here, became a fan instantly after the mummy

As posters before me have said; "cute". And I think "cute" girls are prettier than "hot" girls.

Still lurking about? Don't you people have homes?

reply

Yes, very cute, but the movie begins and ends for me with Patricia Velasquez' scenes.

She looked smokin' hot in this "Inspector Morse" episode:

Right near the start of her acting career. She was a peachy 23.

Because of body paint? Seriously?
