I am a MSTie, and found this uwatchable.

Not only am I a MSTie, but I love artsy films as well. Some of my faves are I Heart Huckabee's, Waking Life, The Vengeance Trilogy, I'm a Cyborg and That's OK, 2001, Lost Highway, etc. I watch a lot of foreign films, especially Korean and Japanese movies. I love French cinema. I love trashy zombie films, I love bad horror and kung fu flicks.

I love movies.

I love bad movies.

This movie was pure excrement.

John Malkovich never should never have been an actor and this never should have been a movie.

I personally dislike a lot of science fiction, I find it uninteresting. I love Star Trek (not Star Wars), won't watch anything with: zombies, vampires (except Shadow of the Vampire), dragons, midget dragons, boobs and dragons, werewolves, hobbits or any of that stuff.

BJM was a brilliant film which I've watched countless times. Not everyone has the same tastes as you (or I).

The reason sci-fi people don't like it is that it involves being able to laugh at yourself.

In a sense I guess you're correct. I am able to make fun of myself for the fact that I forced myself to sit through this entire crapfest.
