I am a MSTie, and found this uwatchable.

Not only am I a MSTie, but I love artsy films as well. Some of my faves are I Heart Huckabee's, Waking Life, The Vengeance Trilogy, I'm a Cyborg and That's OK, 2001, Lost Highway, etc. I watch a lot of foreign films, especially Korean and Japanese movies. I love French cinema. I love trashy zombie films, I love bad horror and kung fu flicks.

I love movies.

I love bad movies.

This movie was pure excrement.

John Malkovich never should never have been an actor and this never should have been a movie.

True man
This is my worst movie I ever saw

Don't see what being a MSTie has anything to do with this.

Can't stop the signal.

MST3K is the best show ever and this movie is amazing.

Thanks for sharing your life story. Now run away and play in your sand pit.🐭

What the *beep* is MSTie?

reply

Massachusetts School of Technology grad?  Not that I see what that has to do with anything.

And in any case the OP's taste sucks. Being John Malkovich is a classic and far superior to the smugly pretentious I Heart Huckabees which he favours.

My Scrotums Tight, if your balls are wound up in a bunch you identify as an MSTie, it sounds better than uptight runt, with a C.

This movie feels like getting punched in the stomach, it's devastating. A great movie nevertheless, I just cant bring myself to sit through it again after seeing it years ago, I skipped through it just now. It's eerie or something, not sure exactly... I suppose it's like watching Oldeuboi (Oldboy) more than once every couple years. You know it's not going to end well but damn if the first view doesn't make you want to try it again a couple years later.

This truly was one of the worst and most ridiculous movies I've ever seen in my life. How anybody could consider this some sort of masterpiece I'll never understand. It's almost like a really bad episode of the updated version of the twilight zone that never ends.

What does being a MSTie have to do with anything? Film taste isn't based completely off of intellectual superiority. You don't need to be the smartest person ever to appreciate an art film.

reply

Agreed.
The need that the original poster felt to mention that is pure arrogance and lack of notion.
