Bruno (SPOILER contained)

Ok, so was Bruno gay? So he lives with Rupert Everett and dances with him in one scene. There also a scene where during a fight Everett says how he rescued Bruno from the street but all of this means nothing. Bruno keeps saying " Ilove you" "I would die for you"....but it's to Asia Argento. At the end he inexplicably shows up with the gangsters and slaps, punches and shoots Everett but cries over Asia. So was Bruno gay or gay-for-pay?

I'm not sure even Bruno knew what he was.
Right now I'm looking for the book so I can see if the character Bruno is explained a little better there.

I just read the book and I don't know if I'd describe Bruno as being in love with B, but that's because we never get to hear from Bruno in the book, I just know that B loved Bruno, felt he had a tremendous hold on her that represented her past with crime. She was jealose when he cried about Charles ditching him and I think that indicated that she didn't really know where she stood with him. She was important to him (he called her after the break up) but obviously not enough to her.

I guess we should add that Paul and Charles are turned into one character in the movie just as Bruno and Mitch and at least two other characters from the book were.

Oh, I think he loved her in some ways as well. But I think above all, he NEEDED her. And I don't think B(from the book I mean) wanted that from him. I mean he did turn out to be pretty needy in regards to his relationship with Charles.

I haven't read the book yet. But the film gave me the impression it was more than gay-for-pay, Bruno was too upset after Paul threw him out. After all Bruno found someone else to stay (and had to give him bl*w jobs), it wouldn't have mattered that much to him if he just had traded one customer for another. So I think there were also emotional ties between Bruno and Paul.
