The speed of the moving foot

It always bothered me how slow that human foot was moving but it makes one think about the speed of everything. Think about how fast ants usually move, maybe it's slowed down to such a point we can see everything the ants are doing, maybe they are experiencing things in slowmotion or something. Just a fun thought.

I noticed that too. My first thought was that we were seeing it from an ants "slowed" point of view, but then I realized that the hands (the magnifying glass scene/coin flipping scene) are done in normal time.

I guess if the foot was moving as fast it normally would, Bala and Z would have been either squashed or sick to their stomachs! Who wants to see an ant barf? :)

reply

No one actually. Hey, but one of my friends is asking me though if the foot belonged to a man or a woman, (I told him it was a man, but wants to hear others' opinion) so I was wondering if anyone knows?

Heard already, that the magnifying glass was just some kid messing around.

OBVIOUSLY

Think about it. I don't know about you but whenever I see a giant plane or rocket in the air I can't help but wonder why it seems to be travelling so slowly.

judging from those sneakers and pants, I'd say a kid and a guy.

Man I had to laugh, everytime, when Z says "Who the hell is that" sh it he says it with such enthusiasm and I laugh everytime

More like from the ants "sped-up" point of view since they have much faster reactions and live much faster and than large animals.

Indeed - ants seem to move very quickly compared to some other entities.

For another interesting comparison, look at squirrels; they don't do ANYTHING slowly. Anything and everything they do, is very, very quick - whether it's turning a head, hopping forward, chewing on food, or tearing your carpet apart.

All the movements are so quick that I sometimes wonder if they live in a different 'time zone', where such movements look just 'normal speed' to them, and our movements look incredibly slow.

I'm sure that's the case. The sensations of time and size for an animal of any size is probably the same. The really odd thing is that the average number of heartbeats of all animals is roughly the same but that may just be a coincidence.
