I like this movie as much as the next guy but facking Edward Norton and tubby white dude in no way shape or form in any universe would not beat black people at a game of basketball LMFAO. Just stop. I cringed watching that whole scene.
Also I love how there was zero Mexicans/Latinos hanging out at Venive beach when they are the majority, this movie although entertaining is way inaccurate at times.
They should have placed Derek and DOC in Huntington Beach instead of Venice. That would be more realistic.
And how many Latinos were actually in the film other than the grocery store scene?
Says who? And they didn't win until Norton replaced fat ass on the court. Just because they're black doesn't guarantee they'd win.

OP is a moron that buys into that myth. Norton was in better shape than anyone on the court including any of the black players. And he's very athletic. It is not unrealistic to show his team winning the game after he entered. Now if they showed 400 pound Seth doing 360 dunks, maybe that would have been out there but that wasn't the case.

Norton in this movie was in excellent shape, and it is implied (in his conversations with Lamont in prison) that his character is a massive basketball fan. It’s not far fetched to believe that Norton was better than all of them.
shareHe was definitely more talented than all of them. The final play pretty much proves it. Showing him read what the other team was about to do before he stole the ball, jetted down and slammed it in. That's most definitely NBA level talent in that movie universe if you ask me. It's just too bad he didn't use that talent to actually try to get into the NBA.

Set that aside and instead look at heights/builds of the players, and if you have any level of experience also look at their skills (the shots are faked, but you can go by how they were dribbling). Yes this was laughable. Woody Harrelson is white, but he was very believable given he had played college ball.
