... Christian Bale said "I love animals!" It was just too adorable! I'm surprised he didn't get any awards/nominations for his performance!

Exactly! I love that scene. At first he starts to cry like a child. And when being asked if he likes animals, he says this. Like he's surprised anyone would doubt his love for animals. And what I find amazing is the fact that he seems so genuine, honest and real.
