Ryan and Breckin's kiss would have been hotter...

If we could have actually seen it. We just basically saw the back of Breckin's head. In the bootleg clip that was released a couple of years ago it was a different take. It showed the kiss from the other angle and it was longer. Greg actually seemed into it whereas in this version he pushes Shane off almost immediately.

Yeah that's where I watched it too. The kiss is longer and shown from a different angle. They lay back briefly and Greg seems into it before he stops it.

"They lay back briefly"

That was the hottest part!

I loved how Shane pushed him down, he obvisuly wanted more than just kissing, I hated that Greg stopped him! :/

And you're saying it wasn't like that in the director's cut?! I haven't seen it yet, how was it there?

reply

Yeah it's not like that in the director's cut. Shane kisses Greg and you see it from behind Gregs head briefly and then it cuts to Greg pushing Shane off ( although they are laying back all of a sudden like they were in the bootleg footage). It's definitely not as hot, although one thing the director's cut has that's better than the bootleg is the long stare between Shane and Greg before they kiss to build the sexual tension.

reply

Why the hell would they change that in the director's cut?! It make no sense!!

By the way are they even talks about the kiss later on? Does Shane explain why he did it? Is there more sexual tension between them later on or is that it?

reply

I'm not sure but my guess is that they had several takes of the scene and this is the one they had the original film negatives of so they used this one. Still a great scene, just not as good of a kiss. And no they don't talk about it after. They are very touchy felt throughout the movie and on one scene Greg and Anita are dancing with Shane and Anita seems like she is trying to get them to kiss but then Shane walks away. He does have another kissing scene with an older guy from the club and you see him climb out of bed with another dude but other than that they don't make a big deal out of his bisexuality which I kind of liked.

reply

"no they don't talk about it after."

Well that's weird.

"and Anita seems like she is trying to get them to kiss but then Shane walks away."

She does WHAT?! Why would she try to make them kiss? And why did Shane walked away?

But it is still hinted that they end up together the three of them right?

reply

No idea why they don't talk about it. It's not really needed. But the last shot of the movie is the three of them walking off together.

reply

Okay, but why did Anita wanted them to kiss? XD

reply

I don't know. The three of them are dancing and she sort of holds their faces close together. Then Shane leaves.

After Shane lies about talking to Steve about promoting Greg to bartender, Greg tries to ask Shane about the kiss, but Shane says to forget about it, and Greg says he's there for him and they hug and say they love each other, that's as much discussion there is about the kiss.

reply

Greg does ask Shane what the other night was all about. Shane answers by saying it's all cool and not to worry about it. Greg seems glad to hear that and reminds Shane if he ever needs anything let him know and they hug

Although luckily the scene is restored from the original film negatives so it's perfect quality and looks beautiful.
