Chayanne is not "brown"....Plus if your black, how can you "get in touch" with your Latin roots?

Well :) to answer your question. My mother is from Honduras... she came to America when she was 6 and had to learn english. Plus my grandfather was half black and Cuban.. and my great grandfather was a Cuban native. So my main race is black when you look at me that's all you see but as you see but do have Latin roots. I thought the slang "brown" was for all Latino's... so if that is incorrect my apologies :)

Lol, I think you just don't understand the terminology. A lot of POC in the U.S. who aren't black describe themselves as "brown" and in that sense Chayanne is brown. That doesn't mean you are literally brown-colored like a black person; it just means you are either a lighter-skinned person of color or a person of color from a country where people aren't generally described as "black." And obviously OP is Latinegra. Not tryna insult you, but you clearly just don't know what you're talking about.

Except for the fact that Chayanne is not a person "of color". His complexion is similar to that of Spaniards, Italians, and many other people from the Mediterranean. It seems you are under the impression that simply being hispanic makes you "of color" or "brown". Latino, or Hispanic, is not a race. We come in all different colors. It is you who clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Latino/Hispanic isn't a race, but a lot of people who are Latino/Hispanic are also the descendants of indigenous, black, East Indian, and/or East Asian people, who are ALL of varying shades, and, in the present-day, often call themselves "people of color." It doesn't have nearly as much to do with complexion as with ancestry. You must be a white Latino because Jesus Christ.
