when they just showed Divatox being in charge of transporting Zordon planet to planet, what do you think DArk Specter had the Machine Empire and Lord ZEdd & Rita do? (or where they considered hasbeens at the time)

Ok first in the last ep of Zeo the MAchine empire got blown up by Lord Zedd and RIta but then the first ep of in Space, the Machine Empire was there. what happened and why did they give up on the earth? and why were Lord ZEdd and Rita not shown between the last ep of Zeo (but where in the turbo movie for a few seconds) and the first ep of in Space?
