So why didn't they explore Zahn and Astronema relationship more?
I liked that relationship. Anybody else did? It had potential to be great. First time a power ranger and a Villain was in love.

Tommy and Kimberly weren't a couple when Tommy was a villain. Kim liked him, but there was no romantic connection made at that time
shareTommy was no more a villain than Kimberly or Billy. They were all taken over by evil magic.

Which made them temporary villains. Just because they don't have control doesn't mean they can't be villains. It was still Tommy, he wasn't in control, and was brainwashed by the spell. But he was still the same person, and he was the protagonist for the Green With Evil episodes. Just like any other character who had this sort of thing happen to them. just because the spell made him evil, doesn't mean he wasn't evil.

Astronema on the other hand was under no spell at that time and was simply on the side of evil by choice due to having been captured at a young age and raised to believe in that way of life. So it made sense for her to start having some feelings as she learned about what life on Earth was like, and met Zhan.
One scene no one seems to talk about is the one where she's giving the Birthday Present from Alpha while disguised as Ashley. I liked how that little scene gave us even more insight on just how was she brought up. Made me (and I'm sure others) start feeling sorry for her.
I would have liked to seen them carry the story on more too. Heck it seemed like they might have had them hook up at the end of Space but then she appears in that other series as a Ranger and starts having feelings for some other guy on there so idk. Maybe its because they couldn't get the actor who played Zahn to return or simply didn't want to.
