Mona and Mouse

Anybody out there know why Chloe Webb or Marcus D'Amico didn`t reprise their roles in More Tales of the City?

The 2nd Michael is just like in the book he has the mustache, I prefer the change but I did like Marcus too. But I would have liked Chloe Webb back.

I had a hard time with the transitions of Mona, Michael and Brian. The easiest, for me, was Mona -- Siemaszko had a good grasp on the character, even if she lacked Webb's sarcastic delivery.

Michael was considerably harder for me. It's not that Hopkins is bad in the role, but he feels like a totally different character -- far more nelly and energetic than the somewhat repressed character that D'Amico played. He eventually grew on me, but it took some time.

And then there's Brian... when I first saw "More," it'd been a while since I'd seen the first one, and I didn't realize that Whip Hubley was playing the same character that Paul Gross had played. Gross was sort of a suave wiseass, but Hubley sorta lacked the charm. Not charmless, but like Hopkins, it's a totally different character.

Yep, Vinnie, completely agreed. And very well put !

BIG mistake re casting them.

They should have given Chloe and Marcus what they desired.

Replacing them ruined this film BIG TIME.

I thought that Chloe Webb was perfect as Mona and was really upset that she was prevented from coming back! She is a really good actress who should have been given the cash that she asked for (if that story is true)! I felt that her presence in the second series was really missed! The second Mona I felt didn't do the character justice! It would have been great to see Chloe's Mona with Mother Muca!

I agree....the new Mona looked a whole lot younger than the rest......(She was closer to Mona's real age) but she looked like she was fresh out of high school. She was good, but Chloe Webb was sooo much better. As for Micheal eh either way, I liked them both individually, but think the 2nd one did the character a little more justice. As for Brian....I agree the first one was better....he seemed more of the 70's cad. Brian 2 was just "nice" looking...he didn't look like he would have been in all the depravity as the first.
