Amazing! I wouldn't change your order. Alright, maybe Mare Tranquilitatis for me, would be a little higher... Maybe 4 or 5. It's all in the story telling and your first 3 are exemplary.
Oh, and I'd certainly put La Voyage Dans La Lune just behind your number 3. A great way to tell the story of our last (curses!) voyage to the moon. And the credits running with JFK's Rice University speech is always moving for me.

Surprised this thread didn't have more replies. Anyway here are mine with what I liked/disliked about the episodes.

1. Spider (pt5) – Loved this episode the first time I saw the series, and still my favorite after several repeat viewings. Nothing negative I can find here. This was a great way to see how the LEM was built, the trials and errors along the way: The tension with its first flight, possible helium disk issue, and almost having to be cancelled due to the one astronaut getting sick. The narration of the Tom Kelly character was a great touch, and the music during the mission made me actually feel something about a machine, (and an ugly one at that). I felt like I gained a greater appreciation of the program as a whole and specifically the work that went into building these spacecraft.

2. Galileo Was Right (pt 10) – Great to see the astronauts training up a little more and putting it to good use once they were on the moon. Dave Scott’s line about exploring beautiful places is definitely a memorable one; and my personal favorite of the series.

3. Apollo 1 (pt 2) – Emotional episode with a great scene at the end with Frank Borman’s testimony….good tribute he gave to the 3 astronauts that perished.

4. That's All There Is? (pt 7) - They did a great job with this episode. Capturing the humor and the “ultimate anti-climax” feel. The tension is over, we landed and we won the space cold war…now what?....ok have some fun with it.

5. Can We Do This? (pt 1) – Good opening episode. Pulled me in, and was a great way to introduce many of the astronauts and NASA personnel.

6. La Voyage Dans La Lune (pt 12) – Decent final episode, but something about it seemed a little off. Not sure I cared for the silent film scenes, so maybe that was why.

7. Mare Tranquilitatis (pt 6) – Good episode on the first landing, though I think they focused a little too much on the tension between Aldrin & Armstrong.

8. The Original Wives Club (pt 11) – I liked the perspective of the astronauts wives, and while it did jump around a lot, I found that in repeat viewings it was much better than the first time I saw it.

9. 1968 (pt 4) - Loved the mission and the scenes in space, but the constant 60’s war, politics & turmoil shots were really annoying after a while. I understand what they were going for with the episode in trying to highlight the positive mission in the midst of such a horrible year, but I found myself just wanting to fast forward through all that to get to the interesting mission.

10. We Have Cleared the Tower (pt 3) – Not bad but a little slow. Just didn’t seem like they had much to work with on this one other than getting past Apollo 1

11. We Interrupt This Program (pt 8) – Not many seem to like this, and I agree with them. Understandable it was a challenge to do this one a couple of years after Apollo 13, but this one just missed for me. Hated to see the “rise” of sensational, emotional journalism (your family just died horrifically in a fire….how do you feel? Would you weep for the camera please?) Better to just watch the Apollo 13 movie instead of this one.

12. For Miles and Miles (pt 9) – Episode just seemed very slow, and I never was able to get into this one. I did like one part where they showed Alan Shepard’s mood in pictures outside his office and the guy leaving when he saw the “bad mood” picture.
