Not enough people know about this movie!!

In a world where most of the moviegoing public thinks that Monster-in-Law and White Chicks are the comedy standards to live up to, it is a downright injustice that this gem is finally available and still isn't appreciated. I have known about this movie for some time now and have waited year after year for Disney to finally release it in theatres. They didn't. Bubble Boy got preference. I rejoiced when it came out on DVD and showed it to as many people as I could. I expected repeated cable showings to follow and for some kind of cult to emerge. I have not seen it on TV once here. Maybe they show it a lot in Canada, but this is an insanely funny movie and should be on Comedy Central and TBS at least 8 times a week. Oh well.

Before I go, gotta say that my favorite bit is the evil farmers foreclosing on the poor family bankers. That is one of the simplest and funniest comic premises I've ever heard.

I had just heard about "The Wrong Guy" through Dave Foley's commentary on the "NewsRadio" DVD. I was surprised (and happy) to find the movie at the store. I bought it and watched it. It's a great movie.

I agree that Comedy Central should show this movie. That would help make it a popular movie.

I remember when Dave Foley came on Conan talking about how this movie wouldn't be released and how Newsradio had just been cancelled. I finally found it on DVD last year. Norm MacDonald mentioned it one time on celebrity poker and Dave seemed slightly confused.
Good movie, though.

I admit it, I never heard of it untill I started watching it on MoviePix and think that it's a great movie. So much infact, that I'll be keeping an eye out for it on DVD.

After years of searching, I finally found it at a local video store! I have watched twice since then and I think this movie is so hilarious! I'm surprised the U.S. doesn't have it on cable anywhere. With the crap movies they play on Comedy Central, you would think they would have shown The Wrong Guy. Maybe we should all write to Comedy Central. This way, the movie will be shown more and then possibly a special edition dvd will come out with a new commentary....I think I'm getting ahead of myself.

3 words for this move: BEST MOVIE EVER
They should show it on every channel at the same time so everyone is forced to watch it. Thats my plan.

I liked Dave so much in 'blast from the past' and noticed his name in the cable guide, and took a chance. I found the movie very funny, and surprisingly witty! It was like seeing Airplane for the first time, but much more subtle.
He did a great job in the show, along with Jennifer Tilly. Who would ever guess a voice like hers could be so sexy?
I will never forget the sight of him glueing the picket fence - with white Elmer's glue!

I just wanted to add my two cents. Everything is so funny in this movie.
Colm Feore as the Killer is so awesome. I'm happy that Dave Foley got to make this movie, unfortunately it's not a financial success, and it's called show BUSINESS. That's the only reason this movie has "disappeared." As for artistry, it's a great comedy and I thank the comedy gods that it exists!

I have been a big fan of Dave Foley for many years, and I never knew about this movie until today. Sometimes life can be so damn unfair...

My buddy and I stumbled upon this movie by accident. We were in a Hollywood Video and saw it. We had never heard of it, but we both loved Dave Foley, so we rented it. I'm so glad we did, to this day it is one of our favorite movies to watch together. The hostage negotiation scene is definitely my favorite part.

It was in our local Family Video store, which surprised me considering how unheard of it is. But unfortunately the last time I rented it, it skipped horribly. But I bought a used copy on Amazon. More people need to see this.
