Favorite Line

My favorite line from this movie is the Rabbi at the talk show saying, "The skin heads didn't eat all the bagels did they?" or something to that effect, I can't remember the exact phrasing. I think its hilarious. Celebrity is a very under-rated Woody Allen movie.

Mine, without a doubt, is the one in which Judy Davis states: "I've become the kind of woman I've always hated, but I'm happier". It deals with one of my personal obsessions :)

And I totally agree, this is a very underrated Allen movie. Definitely one of his best from the nineties.

You can tell a lot about a society by who it chooses to celebrate.

Also, I'd just like to mention that, while this is not Woody's greatest film or anything, there are a few shots and scenes that are spectacular - like when Famke Jansen throws those pages of his novel into the river. And when Kenneth Brannagh meets Winona Ryder on that street corner. Beautifully shot. They remind me of Manhattan a little bit.

I appreciated the scenes both outside and inside the Ziegfeld Theater. Well done.

"From you I'd be willing to catch terminal cancer". Lmao.

The only way to get rid of temptation is to yield to it.

Reminded me of Manhattan as well.

I think it was Kenneth Branagh best scene, he was so commanding and he shared it with Wionona Ryder which was a amazing.

My fav line was Lee being asked "What ever happened to your novel?" Lee response is "It just floated away"

lel513--> Ha Ha. i loved this one too. I don't remember exactly either but I remember it as "blah blah blah now let's take the bagels away from these skinheads" or something like that. Imo the entire seen was brilliant with all the pandemonium going on and then subtle but hilarious quips. The fat group being turned away and Tony Sirico shows up and he's pissed...one of my favorite movies of all time.

"D'you know Chekov?"

"Yes"

"I write like him"

I just started to watch this morning - will finish tonight.

But the best line so far is: At the cocktail party before the film screening someone says - "he is the a$$hole director who films in black and white" or words to that affect. I am going to re-watch.
