WHY IS THIS NOT ON DVD..??

Although it was made in 1995, the film was not released until 1998.

It was nominated for "Best Family Feature - Drama" and "Best Performance in a Feature Film - Leading Young Actor" at the 1999 Young Artist Awards.

It is the only Shyamalan-directed film to date in which the director does not make a cameo appearance.

Shyamalan has described Wide Awake as a comedy that he hoped would also make people cry.

I to rent this for a friends who hasn't see this film...& low and behold it'not avavilable anymore on DVD!!!! I went to Netflix...& they don;t "EVEN" have it for rental!

If you have a multi-regional DVD player, it's still available on region 2.

It is on DVD. I have it on DVD. Check amazon.com

It's been issued twice, with different blurbs for Night's other films.
