I haven't watched this movie in a while, but how can the father sue the mother for custody of the baby? Isn't the mother in college? So it's been a few years since she had the little girl. Didn't the father totally abandon the mother and her baby? And then he comes back years later wanting custody? That doesn't sound right. Isn't there some loophole in the law that automatically takes away all his rights as a parent or something?
shareno it had only been 1 yr. Molly was 1 when Scott (her dad) first saw her. And the rest of the movie takes place within the next yr cuz molly was 2 when the movie ends...well except for the very end when the guy is narrating, then she is 5 but they never show her at age 5. So anyways once her first saw her, he was always there for her so he didn't leave for years.
