Scene on the bus

A little confused. I was alternating between watching the film and typing on the computer, so I didn't catch everything. But why did those military guys come on the bus and take all those kids off, including Emira's baby sister, I think it was? What the heck did they want with a baby, and why did they take all of those children off the bus?

I remember two things very clearly: I am a great sinner and Christ is a great Savior.

The scene was based on something that actually happened to one of the bus/convoys leaving Sarajevo at the start of the war; Serb Chetniks stopped the bus and removed all children whose surnames indicated they were of Serbian heritage.

It wasnt a one time event. It was everyday occasion and they would take Serbs and return them to city and muslims would be taken either to camps, interoggations or straight up executions (or even all three, in that order).

It was a part of strategy to remove muslims and reinstate Sarajevo sa the clean Serbian city, which wasnt bombed by Serbs becuse of muslims in it, but rather bombed by Muslims and Catholics becuse "Serbs lived there all along".

Sarajevo was "bombed by Muslims and Catholics"???. If the war in Bosnia had not been real, you Serbs would be the best world comedians. This war has witnesses, had been abundantly documented and movie is based on real story of British war correspondent Michael Nicholson. It is unbelievable how you Serbs have twisted perception of own history and collective self. Even later bombing of Yugoslavia didn't help you out of your mental quagmire.
