I was watching this on Netflix and there was a song at around 12:00 minutes into the movie, where there was stock footage of the city being under seige, there is a song that sounds almost like Depeche Mode's "enjoy the silence".
lyrics go something like:
words words words just say too much
don't speak to me
can't you see what's going on
in my imagination

I don't understand what happened when Netflix acquired Welcome To Sarajevo, but the version they've got doesn't contain the film's original soundtrack. The music that plays in the sequence you're describing was "I Wanna Be Adored" by Stone Roses; that's what audiences heard when they saw the film in movie theaters, when they watched it on DVD and when they listened to the soundtrack on CD. But for some reason I'm not aware of, the version Netflix is offering features a different soundtrack; also missing from the Netflix version is the Van Morrison song ("The Way Young Lovers Do") that played under the film's opening titles.
wow Stone Roses would have been more fitting than that obscure song. I googled the song lyrics and apparently there are others searching for that song too...thanks though!
