The worst Adam Sandler comedy flick?? Agree/disagree?

I find this movie too immature and has NO replay value.

Everytime I see it on TV i groan and thank God that the constant quoting ended in 2002.

Any other opinions?

'Salsa shark, we're gonna need a bigger boat!' -Randal, Clerks.

reply

Disagree, Little Nicky was worse....unless of course you count, "Going Overboard" http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0096870/ that movie was REALLY awful.

reply

Haha I definitely don't count 'Going Overboard'

But I thought that Little Nicky was just a little ahead of it's time. I love that movie, it's just so different, but i can definitely see how someone could not like it, it definitely has its own audience, you know?

Going overboard....my god...

the wedding singer is for me. i can't even watch it all the way through. i think it is sucks the most...even though running just a bit ahead of big daddy cause that stunk too

(looking at the wedding singer dvd....) DAMN!!!!!!!

reply

i loved Big Daddy! Maybe justb ecuase it showed sandler kind of growing up and it had somewhat of a heart to it.

maybe im wrong, idk

I think the Waterboy is a very good comedy. I think it is one of his funniest films.

reply

well, you're wrong, fat boy

reply

NO . . . You're wrong Col. Sanders! EEEEEEWWWWWWEEUUURRRRRRRRWWWWHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

reply

Fk.

reply

the issue i had with big daddy was it just wasn't funny. i don't recall laughing that hard like i did in waterboy and happy gilmore

reply

I loved the jokes, and i love how Sandler shows sign of maturity.

although i agree happy gilmore is funnier.

i definitely found big daddy more enjoyable, but that's just my taste.

reply

Disagree. Big Daddy wasn't the least bit funny.

Peace

When i saw this in the theatres I thought i had wasted my money. Once it came out on video, i had to watch it again and laughed myself silly...a couple of hundred viewings later and i must say its funnier every time....Little Nicky and Big Daddy and Anger Management had me running to the hills, I couldn't sit through a whole second viewing....snoozers...WaterBoy and Billy Madison are his funniest by far, but I liked him Spanglish, neat fro.

Little Nicky was his worst

The worst movie of his that I have ever seen is:

EIGHT CRAZY NIGHTS.

I remember seeing it in the theatre and shushing the noisy teenagers behind us. About halfway through the movie, I turned around and joined in their conversation. It was better.

If you think this was a decent movie you must not be a Jew. We, collectively, were embarrassed that a movie that awful was made about our treasured holiday.

But he balanced it out with the Hanukkah songs, which were of course great, so it's all good.

I have to agree with you there about that. Plus, I also think that Happy Gilmore is comical as well to watch.

little nicky waterboy and mr deeds worst he made....i hate the annoying voices in nicky and waterboy just not funny

reply

Adam Sandler is starting to mellow out compared to when he first started making movies. I liked Waterboy, Mr. Deeds, and Little Nicky was ok but it was not the best movie. I mean I paid to go see it at the movie theater but it would not be a movie that I would pay to go see more than once at the movie theater to be honest with you.

Big Daddy was a great movie and comical. It just seemed that once Adam Sandler did The Wedding Singer that is when he started to mellow out a bit in his comedies. I still pay to go see them but I find that the earlier works that he did in the early 90's on up to The Waterboy a lot more comical that made me laugh a lot. That is my opinion about it. Now I did like Click and found it hilarious on what he did to David Hasselhoff though as his boss in the film. LOL

I liked The Wedding Singer and feel that is when Sandler started to do more romantic comedies than stick with the earlier comedies like Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy, and Big Daddy. I loved Big Daddy and thought it was comical to watch!

I agree I thought Little Nicky was one of his most
underrated movies. pretty much all of it is f*ucking hilarious.

i honestly think his worst to date for the sake of pure comedy
is Zohan. that movie was absolute *beep*

but we all know which ones are the best.

reply

I thought Little Nicky was ok but it seems as if Adam Sandler films are getting worse because they are not as comical as the ones in the early 90's. It seems as if they are getting a little more away from Adam Sandlers style of comedies. I liked Big Daddy and thought that was a hilarious movie to watch.

Disagree this is one Adam's best movies.

reply

I have a pretty hard time picking a best Adam Sandler movie.......

I saw it in his face on the battlefield and it's tearing me apart.

reply

I really liked this movie. I'm a sucker for Sandler slapstick, which might be why I also enjoyed Happy Gilmore, Billy Madison, Little Nicky, and Click (it had its goofy moments for sure). Not a huge fan of Mr Deeds or 8 Crazy Nights, and only thought Big Daddy was just okay.

reply

Come on Mr Deeds was crap and by far his worst movie

Waterboy is a great movie

reply

Mr Deeds or Going Overboard

reply

I disagree for sure. This is one of his better movies by far.

reply

So far the only Adam Sandler comedies I care for are Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, The Waterboy and Little Nicky. They kind of form a quadrilogy of sorts. I also liked 50 First Dates and love The Wedding Singer. But everything else is just meh.

reply

This movie is one of his better films, You Don't Mess With the Zohan is his worst comedy.

Lets put a SMILE on that face!

reply

I disagree. I thought the movie was quite funny, and I've watched it maybe 3 times... It's certainly not Sandler's best, but it's miles better than Going Overboard and You Don't Mess with the Zohan.

Me I thought it was one of Adam Sandler's weaker films but it is better than Going Overboard, Bulletproof and Mr. Deeds

reply

Both "Little Nicky" and "Billy Madison" are just slightly worse, but this is still really bad.

It's made from bits of real panther, so you know it's good...

reply

You actually don't like Billy Madison? That is my Top 3 favorite Sandler movies.

reply

No; I do like Sandler but that's not one of my faves. Here's my comment that explains why (I know you're gonna vote it 'not useful', now... ):

Nah, This was one of my favorite Adam Sandler movies. I hated You Don't Mess with the Zohan. I mean, I love Adam Sandler (He's My Favorite Actor), but the only funny part of the movie was with Chris Rock. I stopped watching midway through the movie, which is very rare for me.

It's official. Hannah Montana is a poison. And if you agree with me, make this your signature

reply

oh yeah, heh, i agree, little nicky MUST be worst. i mean i think i found this hilarius when i was a kid, but i didn't even like "little nicky" when i first saw it when it was new, and even though it had rodney dangerfield!,
critics seem to like that "wedding" something best. wedding singer? one thing that i found hip about this was the music. i also recall a guy talking funny. mumbling.. that was hilarious.
you cats keep mentioning "going overboard", but wasn't that from way back before his movie career hit off?

i remember being here once,

things i can't find,

while i'm tripping in junk and rubbish,
i remember being there once,
we live along side, in the heating sun.

Zohan was worse... and the bit about quoting ending in 2002 in funny. People still quote it all the time because it is just one of those cult comedies.
