I AM SO DISAPPOINTED......
I am so disappointed in myself and some of you other posters (you know who you are) for not bothering to vote for this movie. I search out this site and scroll down right away and get hit with this lower than deserving score and I realize that my lack of bothering to vote is responsible for this travesty. After all, there is hardly a negative poster to be found amongst the dozen or so subjects I read on this board. In fact, most writers feel like I do about this film. Absolutely Hysterical. I saw this film right after Bill stated on late night television that he would refund any ones price of admission if they were disappointed with it. Not that I needed any incentive to see my favorite SNL player of all time, I rushed to a matinee showing along with a crowd of 6 or 7 other fans in the theatre. I found myself slipping out of my chair, holding my sides, embarrassed that I laughed soooo out loud! After awhile I didn't care and just assumed everyone else was laughing at the same time. This one and GHD are at the top of my list, while Rushmore is at the bottom, along with some more recent non-comedic ventures.
For the life of me, I don't understand why so many people take the time to search out a film or a person's page here on IMDB just to bad mouth that performer to such a ridiculous level. If I don't like a performer I certainly don't even think about seeking them out just to bad mouth them here online. I simply don't patronize them in the future, don't rent their movies, don't watch them on TV, etc. There is a newcomer(relatively) out there, Dane Cook I believe is his name, that I don't find funny at all. It is sometimes annoying just to hear his voice regardless of what he is saying. But the last thing I would think about doing is to go to his site just to post my feelings. Forgetaboutit!
That said, everyone sees the same movie differently. If you didn't like this movie, please explain why and maybe others will be enlightened. (I doubt it, though, haha).
P.S. I thought Spaceballs was hysterical. Saw it on Day 1. Why does that seem to make a difference?
