Hi. First post here. I have loved this movie since I was a kid. I just watched it today, & then I went to look at it on IMDB & saw that there was a sequel. The one review said it wasn't very good, but didn't really tell the story. Could someone please tell it to me?
Well, Return to Tao takes place 5 years after the original. Ryan and Chucky are in China to compete in a Martial Arts tournament. Ryan starts having strange dreams and is brought back to Tao to fight against a new villain called Dogon. Basically, the sequel was an alright movie but it lacked many qualities that the original had. First of all, the Warriors are no longer Kangaroos. They evolved somehow over time. Second, you could tell this movie didn't have the budget that the first one had because the sets aren't that good and the acting is something left to be desired. All in all, even though I don't hate the sequel, I think it could have been made a lot better than it was.

I forgot there was a sequel. But it's not like I've seen the original in years. Literally, I think the last time I watched it was when it came to theatres back in 1997.
