Widescreen DVD?

Hello everyone. I've a quick question to ask, although I'm almost certain that no one will have a satisfactory answer. So here goes.

I was already too old to enjoy "Warriors of Virtue" when it was first released, but I did anyway. Sure, the storytelling was lacking and the direction rather poor (the constant slo-mo during action scenes was particularly annoying), but I loved the production design. Gorgeous costumes, great sets and some really nifty prosthetic makeup. Plus, the whole movie was an homage of sorts to the Chinese wuxia genre - of which I've been a devoted fan for years. In my opinion, it makes a great introduction to this "martial arts chivalry" genre for children too young to be able to enjoy the "Grown Up" version.

My reasons for liking the film aside, here's my question:

Does anyone here know if there's any chance that this film will ever be released on DVD in its proper widescreen (2.33:1) format?

I already own a VHS copy of the film (in wretched "Pan-and-Scan", of course), but I wouldn't even consider buying a copy of the DVD unless it featured an anamorphic widescreen transfer.
