The Guyver for kids?

Is it just me or does this come across as a very similiar idea to the classic Japanese Animes & Mangas of The Guyver series? Or even a watered down version of Mutronics: The Movie (aka The Guyver) the first live action The Guyver movie (followed up by The Guyver: Dark Hero).

It's just you. Time for you to come up out of the basement and get a life.

That's a very good comparison, Calystos. This is basically THE GUYVER for the younger crowd. The themes, action and even the suit are pretty much identical. The only real difference is that GUYVER is way more violent.

What's the deal with Gumppy3 dropping a "you live in the basement" jab because somebody made a comparison? Seems like he's just being ugly for the sake of being ugly. Oh, nevermind, a quick look at his IMDB history reveals that he's a troll dropping nasty comments all over the site for no apparent reason. Guess I should've checked that first.

Says the guy who's also lurking on the internet board for... Star Kid? Christ. The least you could do is get the log out of your eye before you criticize anyone else for having a stick in theirs.

Actually, I am watching it with my nephews right now and it does seem like The Guyver for kids. My nephews are really enjoying it, actually.

I'm watching it also, but on Disney Cine-magic HD, looks great in High-Def, btw.

We were watching it on one of the HD cable movie channels. Looked great also. Funny, I knew I recognized the lead kid from something and than it occurred to me that he was in Jurassic Park.

When he put on the suit I immediately shouted "GUYVER!"

I agree, it reminded of The Guyver too. Anyway love both movies.
