Finally Seen It!

My dvd finally arrived and i watched it today.

MY VERDICT!
This film was clearly a missed oppertunity. I'm sure if the film had a better script a better cast a bigger budgit and an experienced director, then this could of been a compelling and disturbing film, but as it is, it sadly falls too much under the exploitation genre which does the film no justice. Who knows maybe thats all Bryon Johnson intended with Vulgar. Its very flawed and thrown together and doesn't seem to have any point to it other than trying to disturb the viewer, which fortunatly for Bryon Johnson is the only thing he actully pulled off with Vulgar. Brian O'halloran was particlarly good during the post rape scenes as he has his emotional breakdown.

I Think Bryon Johnson should of tried writting something less complex for his first film and shot this one with some experience under his belt further down the line. He's not done anything since and think he proberly burnt all his bridges with Vulgar. Its a shame as the film had some good ideas.

bryan johnson is a friend of kevin smith who used smiths fame to get his directorial debut. i'm sure he's done nothing since strictly because this movie was crap.

also, learn some grammar

Are you from the states by any chance?

I'm from England. If your from the states you don't get to tell a brit how to speak there own language.

You must be quite weak if it empowers to be an internet grammar bully.

I thought that this movie started out ok. I did laugh at the first half hour or so. (Did I mention that I hate clowns?) I also think that Brian O'halloran gives a fine performance in this film.

But then Kevin Smith showed up and I knew it was all going to go downhill fast. I like to watch moives cold, so I had no idea that he was involved in this production or I would not have rented it. (I missed his name in the opening credits because I was enjoying the nice shot of the clown nose and string in the sunlight. This is the only nice looking shot in the entire movie by the way.)

It just seemed as though the film hit a brick wall post rape. It felt very PC and unreal to me.

Smith is the most overrated person on the planet.
