Needed a woman's touch!!

Ok, that's probably the wierdest conclusion I've come to about a film ever. But, Vulgar was so seedy and grimy and just..vulgar from the get go, then, you knew it was only gonna get worse. It just needed some balance, something to make it come off as quirky rather than cynical. It felt like swimming in a pool and knowing there's a turd floating around in it ...you can't relax in case you get some in your mouth!

Technically this is a pretty good film, it's better than Kevin Smith's debut in that respect. The dialogue felt too written and "post Clerks" but it got better as the flick rolled on and it wasn't only a dialogue moive like some other View Askew productions. This was made at the crest of the indie self congratulation era where everyone thought they could roll out snappy dialogue that was hilarious and to be fair BJ's is better than a lot.

Other than the sheer distastefullness of it all it was pretty cool. And I guess it was aiming to be vulgar all along so in a way I'm just being a pussy. I just felt the stench of it all got in the way of some genuine potential.
