"This is all you can eat, we only need one plate"

I must be missing something with that quote, I get the potato sack and getting extra food in said sack, but I don't get the context of the joke, b/c its all you can eat we only need a single plate, it's all you can eat you can have several plates, if their charging a $1.49 I'm sure they don't give a crap how many plates you eat, just didn't get the line.

meaning that he Only paid for 1 person...so they have to share the plate.lol ...well technically he paid for 2 people. He let his 4 kids share 1 plate as well.
