Better than European Vacation.

This to me is the third best in the series behind #1)Vacation and 2)Christmas Vacation. I can't stand European Vacation, mainly because Audrey is annoying as hell and whines through the whole thing.

I would agree with EuroVacation being the bottom of the barrel. Not including the other "vacation" straight to video abomination about Cousin Eddy.

I would place this at 2, I found it more fun than Christmas, no argument about the original being #1.

This one seems to be a love it hate it proposition, there seem to be very few in the middle.

Haha! I forgot about that Christmas Vacation 2. I've never seen it so I can't comment but it doesn't look good.

Don't see it. It is absolutely horrible and I had low expectations going into it, and it was worse than I thought it'd be.

I dunno European gets such a bad rep.

To ME Vegas was the worse.

The actors were clearly running out of steam in this one. I thought Chevy and Beverlly tried to recapture it but they just didn't have the energy they had in the first 3, IMO anyway.

Just because we lose today's battle doesn't mean we've lost tommorow's war.

For me it's:

1.The Original
2.Christmas
3.Vegas
4.European

5.CV 2

The original's the best easily, but Christmas gives it competition. It's more of a desperate movie than the other sequels though. Vegas has more risky humor in it but it works. European I hated because of the kids and the plot, it could have been much better.

I actually didn't mind CV 2 though. Sure it was a TV movie but it was entertaining with Eddie back. If it would have been someone replacing Chevy then it would have been unwatchable.

European Vacation was the weakest movie of the Vacation franchise. "Christmas Vacation 2" was weak but I don't consider it a Vacation movie. It was just a spin off.

It's not better than 'anything'. It could or might be that if there was a single scene, a single goddamn line or gag that's actually funny... but, of course, no such luck with this moviefillum. Plus it's shamelessly corny and hokey to boot. An absolute horror whichever way you look at it.

I actually like European Vacation, especially all the cameos by European actors who weren't known in the US, but who were huge in their own Countries. Also it took people in America to "see" Europe and want to visit it for themselves.

I can't stand Christmas Vacation, to me it just lacks that road trip feel that the others have, even Vegas Vacation has road trip elements, and that's what makes it fun.

I'd say my ranking is:

1) The Original
2) Vegas Vacation & European Vacation (tied)
4) Christmas Vacation

Haven't seen the Cousin Eddy spin-off nor the reboot.

And I agree, this one has the hottest Audrey of the bunch.

When I saw European had a 6.1 rating and this a 5.9, I was surprised (I know a .2 difference, still)

For me, and IM NOT including CV2, as 1. I didnt see it and 2. I dont consider it "official" I am including the Vacation remake as I did feel it is in canon and Audrey (Played by a different actress, but come on, 5 movies, 5 different Audreys-Rustys) and the parents were in it, I was a little disappointed though Eddie made no cameo though.Anywho

I WAS NOT a fan of European vacation. AT-ALL. I thought that movie relied on Chevy and Beverely entirely. The kids added nothing for me. Xmas, as yea the kids werent fantastic, I didnt find them as annoying as European.Those kids annoyed me to hell. Hated them sooooo much. The best gag was Chevy kept on hurting the english chap *God forgive me for forgetting the actors name*. And seeing the wife naked *Hot stuff* but for me....I thought Vegas kids were enjoyable. So many good gags. I liked Russ a lot in that, personally,k as far as "Griswold" kids go, Id go... *rating Rusty-Audreys enjoyability*

*im not including the remake in this* But I liked the Griswold kids in Vegas. A LOT!
