Why didn't they just sell the cars?

When Clark admits he lost all their money why doesn't Rusty mention he won 4 cars. I mean selling one of those cars especially the Mustang or the SUV or even that red car probably would have given them more than $22,000.

Dragonzord! Mastodon! Pterodactyl! Triceratops! Saber Toothed Tiger! Tyrannosaurus!

I thought the same thing. Hopefully they'd wise up and sell at least one of them. Clark gets his money, and then a hell of a lot more.

They didn't have to sell the cars. Not after they 'won' Keno (the older gentleman's ticket being picked up from the floor).

Rusty hadn't revealed that he won the cars at the time. He never had a chance to.

Also, he didn't want to get in any more trouble than he was likely already in!

We might be inclined to the old "suspension of disbelief" here but I think there are significant laws, regulations and taxes involved when you win a single prize of that money, much more 4 prizes.

Plus the title would be in Rusty's alter ego's name and thus the DMV would flag any transfer, assuming they didnt deny him outright because of the false ID (which is likely what would happen)

You'd be subject to jail time if ever pulled over driving it. Thus that cute little "maneuver" on the highway to Chicago out of Vegas at the end of the movie could have landed the whole clan in the clink if a five-oh was in distance.

Unless you have a solid sketchy lawyer who specializes in fraud, those cars are worthless

....landed the whole clan in the clink ..... LOL!

Good one.

That would make 3 Christmas' I've saved, vs. 8 that I've ruined; two were kind of a draw..

Thus we'd get the sequel, National Lampoon's Incarceration Vacation. Clark gets to do time with Cousin Eddie.
